Consultants within the Data Center Practice combine their hands-on technical expertise with knowledge of each client's business needs to deliver solutions that drive strategic planning, implementation, migration, moves and project management practices.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should have 5+ years of experience:

• Analyzing current and future needs for Data Center,  IT/Operations environments

• Assisting clients with multi-million dollar data center management practices

• Evaluating and architecting storage operations, policies, and procedures to drive strategic storage, SAN, and backup initiatives

• Evaluating customers strategic business issues, identifying requirements, creating business case justifications, and proposing appropriate enterprise solutions

• Providing hands-on execution of technical rationalization, optimization, consolidation and/or relocation activities for large geographically distributed enterprises

• Providing SME knowledge as related to all aspects of Data Center environments; able to solve complex technical and business issues related to Data Center, IT/Operations.

• Working as technical and/or operations consultant focused upon delivery of storage solutions.

• Working with data center operational technologies including operating systems and server/storage hardware.

Professional Services and ITIL experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Creating proposals that address current and evolving client storage requirements

• Delivering hands-on technical solutions to our clients

• Developing customized solutions that address specific needs, and delivery and/or management of technical solutions to our clients

• Developing in-depth understanding of a client's business requirements, along with client's current data storage/data center environment

• Developing, promoting and following GlassHouse engagement methodologies

• Providing hands-on technical data center operation expertise including production operations, server, storage, network, database management, systems management, and migration, move, consolidation and DR/Business Recovery expertise to clients

• Supporting 24x7 environments during migrations and consolidations

• Extensive travel required
